Carrot raita

Another variation on the classic accompaniment called raita. This one is made with carrots and tomatoes. I made this to go with a pulao recipe the other day. Make sure to choose nice tender, sweet and juicy carrots for this recipe, they'll balance out the sourness & saltiness of the yoghurt really well. 


Ingredients
2 carrots, grated 
1 tomato, finely chopped 
250ml plain yoghurt 
1 tsp salt
Pinch chilli powder 

Method
  • Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl! Add milk to thin out the raita if desired

  • Serve with rice based dishes!
